OFFICIAL SNOW DAY in SPLIT

Here's what we woke up to this morning:

More snow than 80% of Split's locals has ever seen hit the city...the Mayor announced it an official holiday - Snow Day for kids & adults alike.  With never more than 4 cars on any major roads at one time, all offices and shops closed for the day, groups of kids running in the snow and families going for snow walks and building snow men.....it sort of felt like Christmas again.  The local radio station, Split Radio, was even playing Christmas Carols!

A few inches of snow and the city shuts down....have I told you Split reminds me of Vancouver? And vice-versa?  This is example #1.

They've been saying Winter has hit Europe...well it looks like its reached our Adriatic Coast down here too!

Had a great day of snow fun today - they're calling for more powder and cold winds all the way to Tuesday - and as I write this the power is flickering - will definitely be an interesting white weekend!

Happy Friday!!!

PS. Remember our lemon tree?  Here's the same shot...with frosting!

PPS. It's Tigric's first encounter with snow!  He's slightly confused why everything looks different and no matter where his paws touch - it's cold and wet.  Absolutely adorable.  Baby's first snowfall....
