A TOUCH OF EUROPE.

Welcome to Leavenworth!

A tiny little town located smack-dab in the middle of Washington state.  Set in a picturesque backdrop, with mountain ranges on all 4 sides, a river and lake adjacent, this replica of a Bavarian Village is bustling with American heavy-metal cars and accents, but has the spirit, smell and look of a real Alpine German town.

Every house, hotel and building in the town's center is entirely decorated in German style.  The balcony spindles, the paintings on the walls, the flower boxes, roofs and window panes all scream Bavaria.  German music can be heard coming out of storefronts and restaurants, sausages and sauerkraut smelled at each turn, wine and beer tasting stops every few feet and all sort of knick-knacks for purchase.  The service is outstanding, peoples spirits high, sunshine beaming and kids screaming.  A perfect getaway to taste a bit of Europe, at your Pacific Northwest doorstep!  What else are weekends for??

Parents Beware letting your kids roam free at Soup Cellar!
It might make for one long ride home...

Corned beef and warm sauerkraut sandwich on dark rye bread with German potatoes and beets.
German gastronomy at its best!  Favourite Spot:  Soup Cellar -> you'll have to hunt it down but it's worth it, and the usual 45min wait for a table!

Great outdoor dining year-round!

Even the most American of America, Starbucks, has a Bavaria-authenticity at this location!

A great little treasure of a town, can't wait to come back in summer and see those window-boxes full of colour & flowers in true Alp style!!
