Practically its own food group in Vancouver and always one of the things we miss most when away. With the 2 closest sushi restaurants being 400km east in Croatia's capital (Zagreb) or 650kms north-west in Venice and with no hope of finding anything but a tube of wasabi at any of the markets we quickly take for-granted this little treasure. You can't walk for more than 10min in Vancouver without passing decent&affordable sushi, not to mention all the hidden gem restaurants and Japanese delicacies scattered throughout the city. While we both live for and adore Mediterranean cuisine - the seafood, the pastas, the pizzas, the breads and cheeses and sauces...mmmmm...sushi always holds a special place in our hearts...and stomachs!
